Dennis Gurley S.C.

Mr. Gurley is an Attorney-at-Law, a Notary Public and a senior Partner at J. D. Sellier & Co., and sits on the Board of several companies. He is also a founding member and the current Chairman of the Dispute Resolution Centre.

He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. His areas of practice include Corporate and Commercial Arbitration and Mediations including insurance claims, shareholder disputes, construction, building and contractual disputes, bank and finance disputes, management and corporate governance disputes, debt and insolvency disputes, trust and settlement, environmental, land and property disputes, intellectual property disputes, professional negligence and family property settlement.

Shan Marion Greer

Shan Greer is a Caribbean arbitrator, mediator and lawyer associated with the law firm Floissac, Fleming & Associates in Saint Lucia. Her practice carries a strong emphasis on major building and infrastructure projects. She offers excellent insight, particularly with respect to the procurement and execution stages of major projects. Although based in St Lucia, Shan represents clients throughout the Caribbean as well as internationally in North America and Europe.

With more than eighteen years experience as a commercial litigator, Shan provides clients with effective representation from pre-suit negotiations to the appellate process. Her experience includes cases involving construction, banking, insurance, intellectual property, energy, and employment. In addition to her litigation experience, Shan has an extensive non-contentious background having worked as a legal advisor in the negotiation and preparation of contractual documents for several large corporate projects relating to the provision of infrastructure, renewable energy and commercial property developments.

Shan is a Fellow with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and possesses a Masters degree in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from Kings College London. Over the past ten years, she has been regularly appointed as an arbitrator in ad hoc international and domestic arbitrations governed by the laws of civil and common law jurisdictions under various arbitration rules including the ICC and UNCITRAL Rules.

Shan is passionate about education and training, particularly in the area of alternative dispute resolution. She is an approved tutor and course director with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators as well as the Chair of its Caribbean Branch.

Robin Otway

Robin Otway is the principal of the firm of Otway and Associates and he has been in practice just over 40 years. He is very experienced in civil law in general, principally in civil litigation, in particular commercial litigation and professional malpractice, and especially medical negligence in which area he has been in active practice for almost 30 years, and he is also well versed in real estate law, commercial leases, and contracts, company formation and also in mediation and alternative dispute resolution.

He is a former Senior Member of the Council of the Trinidad and Tobago Law Association, and was until about 5 years ago a Member for 6 years of its Disciplinary Committee. He previously was an associate tutor at the Hugh Wooding Law School, and a former partner of 2 of the larger law firms in Trinidad, Hamel-Smith & Co. and De Nobriga Inniss & Co. (now Lex Caribbean) heading the litigation department in each of them. He was also recently added to the Procurement Board of Trinidad and Tobago.

James T. Guyer

James T. Guyer is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, Civil Engineering with a Masters of Laws, focused in International Dispute Resolution from the University of London.

He has been an active member on Dispute Boards for over fifteen (15) years and has been an active Mediator and Construction Arbitrator for over twenty-five (25) years, having served on numerous arbitrations and DBs both as the Chair and member, both USA domestic and International.

He is a member in good standing on the American Arbitration Association’s (AAA) ® Roster of Arbitrators and Mediators since 1990, a Dispute Resolution Board Foundation member since 2002 with a focus on avoiding, preventing and the resolution of disputes in real time, a Fellow Member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) since 2013, and a Florida licensed Professional Engineer, and FIDIC versed.
